The essay was used as a part of a broader inquiry course at Hampshire College. This essay asks a wide range of questions about 'Let's' childhood and family life. It also includes stories about many experiences that she has with her friends. Through it all, Nez discusses her responsibilities as a daughter, mother, daughter-in-law, sister, and wife in her community. It is interesting to note that the best stories from Nez's past are the ones that illustrate how her circumstances have helped her to lead a rich life. She expresses gratitude for a trust in God that she attributes to his blessings on her. She shares the stories of her husband, two sons, and sister. ' Before I met him, I didn't think that a daughter could be a leader,' she said.In another part of the essay, Rebecca describes the changing attitudes of society towards Native Americans.
